The Practice Time session on Wednesday for 5 to 12 year-olds has become so popular that we need to split the group by age and create another practice-time session for the safety and benefit of the children.
Therefore, starting this coming week, Practice Time on Wednesday will now only be for 5, 6 and 7 year-olds and a new Practice Time session will be opened on Tuesday at 4pm for 8 to 12 year-olds.
Places each week still need to be booked the day before, or on the day by text or email and we will only respond if the session is full and no spaces are available.
As The Little Gym Krakow continues to grow and expand its range of classes for children of all ages between 4 months and 12 years, we are delighted to introduce two new instructors to your TLG team. Cecilia and Dorota.
Cecilia is already regularly part of the weekend team assisting in Pre-K classes and at Birthday Parties and Dorota is currently undertaking training in Pre-K and Grade School programmes.
The reason why we have so many instructors at The Little Gym is because we run classes with a maximum student to teacher ratio of 1:6 in Pre-K classes, 1:7 in Grade School classes and 1:10 at Practice Time.
Please join us in welcoming Cecilia and Dorota to your child’s Team.
One of our foremost goals is for all families to enjoy a safe, fun and completely fulfilling experience every time they visit The Little Gym Krakow.
To achieve this we must rely on parents to oversee the safety and behaviour of children in the lobby while they are waiting for a class to start, or waiting for a sibling to finish their class.
We understand how difficult it can be to keep children positively engaged so here are some suggestions that may help:
Encourage the children to use the magnetic white board to expand their creativity, numeracy and literacy. We have magnetic shapes, numbers and letters available at front desk.
Bring colouring books, homework, construction kits etc to engage the children positively
Read to your child or bring their favourite book for them to read, or load an appropriate audio book on your phone.
Enjoy a snack time together
Play games together - number games, memory games, OXO, word games, song games, board games etc.
Finally, please do not let your child use the coffee or water machines unsupervised as they are likely to endanger themselves/others and make a tremendous mess in the lobby.
Thank you for your help in keeping The Little Gym Krakow a very safe and positive environment for all.

It is so lovely to have all our members back! Thank you to everyone who allows us to help in your child's development and understands the importance of our programmes. A MOVING CHILD IS INDEED A LEARNING CHILD!
Children are busy, busy little people! Physical activity does so much more than provide children with an outlet for burning their endless supply of energy. Over the years, various studies on child development have been conducted to prove that physical activities for kids helps to increase confidence and self-esteem, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and also helps children perform better in a classroom setting and life in general. Healthy kids benefit emotionally, physically, and cognitively when they’re active and having a good time.
The key to encouraging children to get active is to make it fun! Adults might spend more time being active if we took this advice! When children are riding their bike, swimming in a pool, or getting active and playing fitness games at their local The Little Gym, they aren’t seeing it as a workout. They’re seeing the activity as an opportunity to play with their friends and have fun. Cardiovascular exercises, strength exercises, and stretching exercises together will help your child build a strong body and mind. Keep reading for more information about how you can incorporate workouts for kids into your family’s weekly routine.
1. Cardiovascular exercises
Biking, swimming, and running around a soccer field or basketball court are great for strengthening the heart and building endurance. The CDC recommends that children engage in 60 minutes of moderate or vigorous aerobic exercises 3 times a week. Fit this into your family’s schedule with a family soccer game, a Saturday morning bike ride, and a nice long Sunday swim! Even if finding spare time is tough, incorporate ‘sprints’ like racing to the fountain at the park or jumping rope in the yard.
2. Strength exercises
Swinging on the monkey bars at the local park, or fitness games like learning how to do a handstand at The Little Gym, not only strengthens muscles and increases bone density, it also can help with preventing future sports or non-sports related injuries. If you’re struggling with your own workout plan and making the time, invite your children to do pushups or sit ups with you!
3. Stretching exercises
Stretching is equally as important as strength and cardiovascular activities. Regular stretching helps to increase flexibility, helping children work on (or master) their splits, cartwheels, and reduces the risk of injury. Have fun with stretching by asking your child to stretch like an animal of their choice – like a cheetah stretching out after a long day running around the jungle!
Finding activities for kids and fitness games is easy! Trying these physical activities for kids can be a fun way to spend time together as a family! Healthy kids are happy kids. If you’re looking for some fun, physical activities for children 4 months through 12 years, check out The Little Gym! To find a The Little Gym location near you, click here.

Parenthood used to be all about nurturing your child’s talents. And, of course, there is no parent in the world who would not describe his or her child as somehow gifted. Not only does it fill us with the sense of pride, but also makes us confident that our daughter or son will grow up to be a successful adult who might, perhaps, accomplish something important.
The problem is that an increasing number of scientific studies show that there is no significant correlation between talent and success in adult life.
In her recently published book, Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance, a renowned American psychologist Angela Duckworth points to a single character trait that is a much better indicator of a child’s future success. It is grit, which is a combination of passion, resilience, determination, and focus that allows a person to maintain the discipline and optimism to persevere in their goals.
Why The Little Gym Krakow is a good place to develop GRIT?
It is because, even before that buzzword gained popularity, the very same concept had been part of the The Little Gym philosophy. The playful gymnastics activities we organize for children are designed to boost their self-confidence and resilience, but also to help them understand that a failure is okay – provided that you try again. Our enthusiastic and committed instructors will always be there for your child – motivating and tutoring until your child builds up the determination to accomplish his or her goal. At The Little Gym Krakow we do not just make kids fitter – we give them tools to be successful as teenagers and adults.
Please visit our The Little Gym in Krakow and see what we can do to install some GRIT in your child.
It’s a New Year - let’s ‘GET MOVING’, benefit from a ‘BRAIN BOOST’ and learn some valuable ‘LIFE SKILLS’ all at the same time!
No other children’s programme provides this combination of learning in such a fun, nurturing and non-competetive environment. Over 400 children have enrolled this season, however, we do still have some spaces.
This year Christmas is coming early to The Little Gym Krakow!

It's not just the parents of children under 3 who get to have the fun inside the gym! Every few weeks The Little Gym programmes include Parent Involvement Activities in Pre-K and Grade School classes, where you can sample and enjoy some of the Serious Fun yourself.
We'd like to invite you to bring a friend to your regular class next week (21-27.11)
Bring-A-Friend Week at The Little Gym is when a friend of your child, or a child of your friend, can join your regular class (or other age group) for some extra special fun. Bringing a friend helps the social and emotional development of the children and to build and strengthen their own relationships. We can accommodate one friend per enrolled child, however, please let us know in advance so that we can prepare their welcome!!!
