Your favourite The Little Gym Story?

- One of the FB/GW Learning Units relates to healthy habits. The class theme in question was about the children’s favourite fruit and vegetables. On my equipment station (which was a kitchen that particular week!) I was asking the children what were their favourite fruits, there were pictures of fruit stuck on the mats to help the children make their choices:
-    ‘So what is your favourite fruit?’ I asked the children
-    One child shouted: Sausages!
Whilst trying not to laugh I said: ‘well sausages are not a fruit. How about an apple, a banana or a raspberry?’
-    ‘Ok…Chicken!’ said the same child.
I did my best not to laugh! The answers were so cute and said with such confidence and joy, they made me believe that a sausage could be a fruit :)

How did you get interested in sport?
- My Mum says I was born with a ball in my hand ;). Since I can remember I used to exercise a lot with my Dad at home  It was my Dad introducing me to every sport he has ever done and I’m very grateful for that because thanks to my Dad I’ve tried almost everything. I loved volleyball most and I was training professionally. I can’t imagine studying anywhere else than AWF (Academy of Physical Education). This is where I learned gymnastics and I am happy that I am now able to pass on my passion for sport to the children of The Little Gym :)

What do you do in your free time?
- In my free time I go to the gym or for crossfit, this is where I can get a great workout  I also love cycling and watching films at home in the evenings :)

What can’t you live without?

- We were practicing pullovers with a group of Funny Bugs. One of the Funny Bugs did it really well so I praised her immediately. I put my hand up to give her a high five, she looked me with a very surprised face and instead of giving me the high five she ran and gave me a massive hug. It made me feel really great about what I do.

- During one of my very first classes as a new lead instructor one of my very active Funny Bugs suddenly stood up interrupting my Opening Circle and said: I’ve pumped and it’s soooo smelly, can you smell it?!

I couldn’t stop laughing, the other children didn’t know what was happening as I couldn’t continue the Opening Circle. Luckily Edyta and Tomek started the Warm Up and we could continue the class almost normally J

Your favourite The Little Gym story?

- My adventure with The Little Gym has only just begun so my “favourite story” is before me and I believe that there will be more than one! However, the moment when, on my first day here, a little girl didn’t want to start exercising without me, was very precious and made me really happy. And it made me realise that I’m at exactly the right place!

How did you get interested in sports?
- As long as I can remember I always spent my free time in an active way. The first motivator was my mother, who took me to ballet class and acrobatic gymnastics when I was in primary school. Over the years I enjoyed team sports especially and I played volleyball.

What do you love to do in your free time?
- Gym, fitness, running, rollerblading, contemporary dance. And then, when I’m tired: books and theatre ;-)

What can't you live without?
- Oatmeal for breakfast and green tea

Where have you lived?
- Always in Krakow

- During one of our Awesome Birthday Parties at The Little Gym I was spotting children doing a forward roll. One boy found it very difficult and needed a heavy spot. After he did his forward roll he grabbed my leg and said: ‘I love you’ ☺ This was one of those moments when you know you are in the right place, doing the right thing ☺

How did you get interested in sports?
- I used to be an overweight child. One day I took the decision to change that. Team sports were never “my thing” so it was fantastic when I discovered that the gym is where I feel most comfortable and it has helped me to exercise not only my body, but also my character and confidence as well. Combining it with a proper diet I made the change real and now I see the importance of helping children to learn to love physical activity from a young age.

What do you love to do in your free time?
- I enjoy getting knowledge about gym training, diet supplements and healthy diet. I also love riding my motorbike and relaxing while watching films at home.

What can't you live without?
- My partner Edyta, gym x100, coffee, meat and my motorbike ☺

Where have you lived?
- Kraków , Czyzyny - Park Lonikow.
